Yogaworks offers different yet complementary styles of hatha yoga. All styles are based on the physical practice of yoga together with the appropriate breathing techniques.

Hatha yoga is the physical branch of yoga which provides tools for the development of a healthy body and a clear mind. Regular practice of hatha yoga cleans and tones the body from inside out, and increases strength, stamina and flexibility. Hatha yoga can also help boost the immune system, reduce stress, improve overall body posture and realign the spine. The choice of the class depends on individual objectives and preferences. Whereas « hatha » classes tend to be softer and more focused on alignment whereas « power vinyasa » can be more athletic and physically challenging.

Recommended for beginners and all levels, this class teaches the fundamentals of a hatha yoga practice, with particular emphasis on the alignment and precision of the postures. It is an excellent conditionning fo body, mind and breath.

Power vinyasa
Not recommended for complete beginners, this is a powerful, flowing and athletic type of yoga. While focusing alignement and integrity in the postures, you will move, sweat, breathe, and hopefully have fun!

Ashtanga « Mysore style »
This is a self-practice of the traditional Ashtanga series. In a small group, the teacher instructs each student one-to-one. Whether you are completely new to yoga or already have some experience, the idea is to start developing your own personal practice. Classes not included in Yogaworks abonnements.
