AWARENESS IN YOUR YOGA PRACTICE

With Jérôme & Flower

About the Event

If you place your full attention while respecting well-directed breathing, you will develop greater presence. This presence will lead you to an awareness of the reality of the present moment; this is the most difficult aspect of the practice.

Willpower is only necessary when the capacity to act is lacking. Learning, as we understand it, is not the training of willpower.

We can learn to adjust the tensions in our body and the state of the nervous system, and therefore improve the way it functions—through self-knowledge.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  1. What is the sensation of “quality breathing”?
  2. How can I create regularity in my breathing throughout the practice of Asana?
  3. How can I achieve complete breaths in every movement?
  4. How can I detect my latent habits and perceive the nature of my mind?
  5. What is the psychology of transformation in Yoga?

No matter the beauty of our postures or the flexibility of our bodies, if we do not succeed in unifying body, breath, and mind, it is difficult to say that our practice corresponds to the definition of yoga. After all, what is yoga? It is something we experience within ourselves, throughout our entire being. It is not an external experience. Even a blind or deaf person practicing a posture can feel and discover yoga.
